ADVA Optical Networking has announced that its 100G Metro has won an eco-Internet Award in the “Carrier” category. It was recognized as a real innovation in the networking industry, one that is already significantly impacting upon service provider and enterprise networks as reported by ADVA.

The eco Internet Awards' jury noted three clear reasons for the success of the ADVA 100G Metro received this recognition for its higher data throughput, lower costs, integrated encryption on the optical transmission layer and timely arrival of the product in the market.
