ADVA Optical Networking has announced that it will be showcase its new Cachejack technology in Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2013 at Barcelona on Feb. 25-28.
Cachejack is designed to improve mobile user experience and enable location-based services (LBS) through an application-aware radio access network (RAN) and optimize resource utilization by uniquely transporting content directly from the backhaul network straight to the mobile subscriber. It helps in downloading video streaming and high-resolution images from the Internet. In addition, Cachejack will enable monetized LBS offerings and will help the operators to save bandwidth and money by optimizing mobile backhaul.
