Allied Telesis introduces SwitchBlade x8112 Chassis designed for Cloud
Embedded with high availability, high-density, high-performance and lower-power consumption, a new chassis "SwitchBlade x8112" has been launched by Allied Telesis. According to the company, it is believed to be the greenest-ever chassis.
Its features are based on VCStack and EPSRing technologies and it delivers reduced CapEx and OpEx for customers due to its Active-Active architecture. It is powered by AlliedWare Plus operating system. Its 12 slot layer 3 chassis switch is designed to deliver high availability, wire-speed performance and high port count.

As a result of the development of networking solutions and IP network architectures, our product meets the increased demand from the marketplace in terms of performance, quality of service and security. The SwitchBlade x8112 delivers highly resilient networking infrastructure solutions to large campus based customers," said Subhasish Gupta, Country Manager - India & SAARC, Allied Telesis.
The other technical features of the chassis include 800 GBPS Aggregate Switching, True Non-Blocking Architecture, 80 GBPS Wire Speed per Slot, Passive Backplane, 4Port 100/1000 SFP; 24 Port GE POE, 6 Port 10GE SFP, Dual Redundant CFC Controllers, Low-power consumption of 20W per 10G Port, Dual Redundant PSU AC / DC and Dual Redundant POE PSU.
