Amazon Seller Services has announced its plans to open five more Fulfilment Centers (FCs) in Delhi, Chennai, Jaipur, Ahmedabad and Tauru (outskirts of Gurgaon). With the additional storage capacity and its two existing Fulfilment Centers on the outskirts of Mumbai and Bangalore, Amazon has almost doubled its total storage capacity to over half million square feet, offering world-class fulfilment services to thousands of retailers and small and medium businesses (SMBs) across the country.
This investment is part of Amazon’s continued and relentless focus on enhancing online shopping experience for consumers in India and enabling SMBs to get a scalable and robust national platform using Fulfilment by Amazon (FBA). The new facility will provide existing and new retailers from both South & North India closer access to Amazon’s world-class fulfilment capabilities. Seller of all sizes will be able to take advantage of this new, modern, multilevel, secure facilities equipped with Amazon’s warehousing systems and processes to stock and store millions of products of all sizes across several categories using Fulfilment by Amazon for immediate shipment to customers.
Customers in these states and nearby areas can expect broader selection across categories available for immediate shipment and eligible for Amazon’s Next-Day and Same-Day Guaranteed delivery services
