Axis Communications has presented a network camera - AXIS M2014-E, which has been designed to be installed in retail stores, boutiques, hotels or small offices for video surveillance.

This new camera, with its unique design concept comprising a main unit and a separate camera unit, allows for maximum flexibility and ease of installation, in areas where installation has previously not been possible.”
AXIS M2014-E will provide HDTV 720p image quality at full frame rate. The camera can deliver multiple, individually configurable video streams in H.264 compression .It is also supported by JPEG motion. The camera is ensured for protection from rain and dust through IP66 rating.
The camera, with the in-built memory card slot provides video management solution.
It also supports video motion detection, tampering alarm and includes an I/O port for connecting devices. The camera unit is IP66-rated, which ensures protection against dust and heavy rain. It includes a power over Ethernet installation feature and support for Hosted Video and ONVIF for easy camera system integration.
The camera will be available for order in Q2 through Axis distribution channels at the suggested retail price of US$399.
