Shashwat Sharma, who has been with the company for several years, previously held key roles in marketing and operations, where he was instrumental in driving the company’s growth in various segments. His promotion comes at a critical time when Bharti Airtel is expanding its 5G infrastructure and enhancing its digital service offerings.
His focus on innovation and digital transformation has helped Airtel maintain a strong market presence, especially in areas like broadband, digital payments, and mobile services. As MD & CEO, Sharma will be responsible for overseeing Airtel’s overall strategic direction, including its push into 5G networks, digital services, and expanding its customer base. His role will also involve steering Airtel’s focus on customer experience and digital integration across various platforms, ensuring that the company remains competitive against rivals.
