As per a recent update, Juniper Networks has announced that its data center security solution has been deployed by China Minsheng Banking Corporation (CMBC). With this association, Juniper Networks SRX Series Services Gateways will provide CMBC with scalable and available security at its new data center as the bank introduces new core business systems to improve its performance, meet customers’ needs and drive customer satisfaction. The decision to invest in a new data center and deploy Juniper Networks SRX5600 and SRX3600 Services Gateways was driven by its goal to become a distinctive, efficient and secure bank that brings maximum value and return to its customers and investors.
Henry Zhu, Operation Area Leader, Greater China Enterprise, Juniper Networks, stated, Security and availability are critical areas of competitive advantage for the banking industry. This is especially so for China Minsheng Bank which is positioning itself as the country’s leading bank in the non-state-owned sector, where a seamless and secure online customer experience is essential. We have worked closely with the bank to build a network flexible enough to meet its evolving needs while delivering the speed, reliability and security that its customers demand.
The Juniper Networks SRX3600 and SRX5600 Services Gateways have been deployed to enhance security in the data center itself as well as Internet, extranet and intranet gateways, enabling CMBC to enforce a strong and consistent set of security policies across all data center touch points.
At critical points of the network, Juniper Networks SRX Series gateways have been deployed in active/passive high-availability configurations, delivering the availability and resiliency to ensure its online services are 99.999% available.
