Smartlink Network Systems today announced the introduction of DIGISOL Cloud based Security and Management Solutions under its DIGISOL Networking Solutions range. This Cloud based service will be soon available for DIGISOL's Azteca and Mustang family of Managed range of switches through the DIGISOL CLOUD Portal, and the launch will take place during the upcoming Interop 2012 exhibition at Mumbai. It will enable the DIGISOL SMB/SME customers a simplified and powerful network management and monitoring solution with active compliance monitoring.

Explaining the technology, Shridhar Kadam, CTO Smartlink said, “The solution also has an option of Active Compliance monitoring of connected clients through the switch for OS updates, Anti-Virus updates and Firewall status etc. DIGISOL plans to introduce End point security solutions coupled with this cloud based solutions for malware screening and Peer to Peer applications monitoring.”
The Cloud enabled switch registered on its portal feeds the information about connected Computers, IPs, MAC and other related devices information. This helps the network administrator to track any intruders in networks remotely. It is also possible to setup notification messages for any new hosts connected to the switch. The administrator can setup Automated Backup of the Switch Configuration, Restore switch to its last saved backup, Restore replacement switch to proper configuration along with Switch Monitoring through cloud.
This Cloud based solution will be shortly available to DIGISOL customers on Select DIGISOL Managed/Lite Managed switches on per annum subscription basis. However, there will initial free evaluation period for first few months which will be announced soon.
