Equally important is adopting a cloud operating model where infrastructure is automated, policy-driven and programmable, allowing applications and data to move seamlessly across private infrastructure and hyperscale cloud environments,” he says.

Sudharsan says that the right cloud mix strategy depends on workload characteristics, data sensitivity, performance requirements, regulatory obligations and business priorities. “For most organisations, hybrid cloud offers the greatest flexibility. As a result of this approach, applications benefit from consistent performance, availability, data protection and disaster recovery regardless of where they run, while IT teams manage both environments through a common operating model,” he says.
