Geometric marks its 20th anniversary

Geometric has inaugurated its new facility in Hinjewadi Phase I, Pune. The day also marked the 20th anniversary of the company's incorporation, when it spun off from Godrej & Boyce to become an independent company.
Inaugurating the building, Manu Parpia, MD & CEO said, “We were the first company to start building facilities in Hinjewadi, and Pune has been at the heart of our global delivery organization ever since. We are very pleased with our move from leased offices to an owned premise, which not only reinforces our commitment to this city, but will improve our G&A costs.”
This facility promises to be a critical component in Geometric’s growth - not only is there a high level of pride for employees working in this owned facility; it is also home to Geometric’s R&D and IP team. Geometric’s new building is a 76,245 sq. ft. facility, with a seating capacity of about 500, complete with an amphitheater, multi-purpose hall, state-of-the-art infrastructure, and landscaped gardens at multiple levels. While building this facility, an emphasis was placed on ‘green’, and ensuring maximum availability of natural light on all floors. The inauguration today was attended by employees, local officials and ex-employees of the Company.
Geometric has four other offices in Pune, two buildings housing its joint venture company, 3DPLM Software Solutions Limited, and two leased premises in an SEZ.
