GoI partners with Huawei for 5G trials in India
With the Indian Cabinet having approved a new telecom policy, the “National Digital Communications Policy, 2018”, the Government of India, on 27th September, shared the 5G trials partnership letter with Huawei. In addition, Huawei has also received the approval for its 5G demo spectrum from DoT.
In recent years, “Digital India” and national 5G planning have accelerated. The Indian Government is open, has collaborative approach and welcomes Huawei to join the ICT development of the country.

Huawei is committed to ‘Digital India’ and will actively cooperate with the 5G planning and preparation of the Indian government and industry. Through the proposed trials, Huawei plans to contribute for development of timely and high-quality 5G technology and use-cases that will enable social and economic development in India for consumers and industry.”

With close to 20 years of operations in India, Huawei has established extensive cooperation with the Indian government and industry. Huawei has a widespread and deeply localized presence with the largest overseas R&D center in Bengaluru, the largest global network support service center, nationwide facilities for marketing, manufacturing, logistics, engineering services and skilling and training centers in India.
