Google has officially confirmed that it is going to start public testing of its AR Smart Glass next month. The tests will be done with the help of a few Googlers and its trusted testers, who will be wearing the AR Smart Glass prototype to analyse its performance and effectiveness.
It can translate and transcribe languages in real-time, making it even easier for people to communicate despite not speaking the same language. The feature can also help the hearing impaired better understand the world around them.
The AR Smart Glass will incorporate navigation, which requires real-time data and analysis of the weather and the traffic conditions in the area. The company said that these devices do not support photography or videography, and will use the image data.
The first Google AR glasses saw plenty of criticism for their ability to record video and audio of other people without their knowledge. Others worried that the glasses could be used to identify people via facial recognition apps.
