Hexnode Unveils Native Identity Platform
Following the launch of Hexnode XDR, Hexnode has introduced Hexnode IdP, a native Identity Provider designed to unify identity and endpoint intelligence within its ecosystem.
Built to integrate directly with Hexnode UEM, the new IdP enables device-aware conditional access based on real-time compliance posture. This approach allows organizations to control access depending on whether a device is enrolled, secure and policy-compliant. By embedding identity capabilities into its own platform, Hexnode aims to reduce reliance on third-party identity licensing for core authentication and access control functions.
Hexnode IdP offers centralized single sign-on (SSO) and multi-factor authentication (MFA) across users, devices and applications. It blocks login attempts from unenrolled or non-compliant devices, strengthening defenses against unauthorized access. The platform also includes integrated identity governance features such as user lifecycle management, automated provisioning, role-based access control (RBAC) and reporting.
Centralized Identity Governance and Control
Hexnode IdP integrates with other widely used directories while centralizing governance within the Hexnode platform.
Core capabilities include:
· Federated Identity – Syncs easily with Microsoft Entra ID, Google Workspace, and other major directories.
· Automated Provisioning – Manage full user lifecycle and automate group provisioning to applications.
· Application Access & SSO – Enables secure integration with applications, allowing users to sign in once and securely access connected systems.
· Role-Based Access Control – Enables role-based access control (RBAC) with least-privilege admin assignments.
· Security Controls & Reporting – Reinforces security policies and enables admins to monitor access patterns through built-in reporting.
· Automated Threat Blocking – Blocks rooted, jailbroken, or unencrypted devices through Hexnode UEM integration.
The launch reflects a broader industry shift as identity and endpoint security increasingly converge. Organizations are looking for tighter coordination between device management and access control, especially in hybrid work environments where users connect from multiple locations and endpoints.
By combining endpoint visibility with identity enforcement in a single environment, Hexnode is positioning its native, device-aware access model as a streamlined alternative for enterprises seeking stronger security with fewer moving parts.
