HPE Delivers First Batch of 1,000 Made-in-India Servers

Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) has achieved a significant milestone by delivering the first batch of 1,000 servers manufactured in India.

This development marks a major step in HPE's commitment to supporting India's "Make in India" initiative, aimed at boosting local manufacturing and technological self-reliance. This marks a significant step toward HPE's ambitious goal of reaching $1 billion in local manufacturing over the next five years.

The initiative underscores HPE's commitment to supporting India's "Make in India" campaign, with a focus on enhancing the country's technological capabilities and contributing to the growth of the local economy. Som Satsangi, Managing Director, Hewlett Packard Enterprise India Said,  the company is well on its way to achieving this manufacturing milestone, further solidifying its presence and investment in the region.

Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) has commenced the first shipments of servers manufactured in India under Phase-II of the government's production-linked incentive (PLI) scheme for IT hardware. As per Som Satsangi, this milestone reflects the company’s dedication to bolstering local manufacturing capabilities and aligns with the government's initiative to promote domestic production.

The servers, which represent the initial batch of 1,000 units, highlight HPE's commitment to contributing to India's technological and economic development. This move also supports HPE's broader goal of achieving $1 billion in local manufacturing over the next five years.

Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE), leveraging its contract partner VVDN Technologies' surface mount technology, is performing nearly 80% of the value addition for its servers in India through printed circuit board (PCB) assembly.

By focusing on high-value manufacturing processes within India, HPE aims to strengthen its presence in the Indian market while contributing to the country's technological and economic growth.

The servers, produced at the company's state-of-the-art facility in India, are part of HPE's broader strategy to expand its presence in the region and cater to the growing demand for digital infrastructure across various sectors. This move not only strengthens HPE's supply chain but also aligns with India's vision of becoming a global technology and manufacturing hub.
