Intuit teams up with TiE Delhi-NCR to organize Financial Management Training

Intuit has collaborated with TiE Delhi-NCR to launch a Financial Management Training for entrepreneurs and start-ups. The training, which will be held on July 11, 2014 at the India Habitat Centre in New Delhi, is designed to improve entrepreneurs’ abilities to more effectively manage their finances.

Looking forward to the event, Nikhil Arora, Vice-President & Managing Director, Intuit India, said, “Intuit is excited to collaborate with TiE Delhi-NCR on the upcoming financial management training because it teaches the core skills that every successful entrepreneur must have, but ironically, are often the last skills thought of. We ensured our approach to the training takes advantage of the real-life business experience the attendees already have and so the course is highly interactive and discussion-based. After the training, attendees will be able to put what they learned into action in their businesses.”

This training will focus on demystifying financial concepts so that entrepreneurs from non-finance backgrounds feel confident in making critical financial decisions in a timely, strategic manner, helping them compete in an increasingly global, mobile world.

Divided into three modules, the course covers topics including preparing to pitch investors and approach banks for funding, understanding core financial terms and indicators to measure success, budgeting and invoicing, and the technology solutions to help manage day to day finances, among other topics.

Designed by Intuit, the curriculum will be delivered in person by an experienced business coach over the course of three hours to strengthen the attendees’ ability to plan for key events in the business lifecycle like seeking funding, hiring new employees, as well as improve their ability to manage day-to-day business finances, including things like costing and invoice management.
