At the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2026, Meta has announced a range of new features for its AI powered wearables. The updates focus on expanding the capabilities of the Meta Ray-Ban Display glasses and the Meta Neural Band, with additions such as hands-free messaging, a built-in teleprompter and expanded pedestrian navigation.
The Teleprompter feature on Meta Ray-Ban Display allows users to view notes or scripts directly inside the glasses, reducing the need to look away or hold a phone. Meta said that the text can be copied from apps such as Notes, Google Docs, or Meta AI and navigation is handled using the Meta Neural Band.
It’s currently rolling out as an early access feature in WhatsApp and Messenger. Meta Ray-Ban Display users are also getting a new teleprompter feature, which lets users copy notes from their phone into customizable text cards visible on their glasses.
The 600×600 pixel display also allows the wearer to scroll Instagram, take video calls, or send texts.
“The discreet teleprompter is seamlessly embedded inside your display glasses, with customizable text-based cards and simple navigation with the Meta Neural Band,” Meta says.
The neural band uses electromyography to read signals from the user’s muscles to control the display in the lens. The band can also be used for another feature Meta just announced at CES Unveiled 2026: EMG handwriting. This gives the user the ability to jot down messages using only their finger while wearing the Meta Neural Band.
“Now you can shoot off a quick message without fumbling with your phone, and you can keep your head up and eyes focused on the moment you’re in,” Meta says.
