Meanwhile, OpenAI is preparing to launch GPT‑5, expected in early to mid‑August 2025, with enhanced multimodal and customization capabilities.
OpenAI has introduced new integrations for ChatGPT Pro users, enhancing its utility as an all-in-one productivity tool. According to recent release notes, Pro users outside the European Economic Area (EEA), Switzerland, and the UK can now connect ChatGPT with Canva and Notion, enabling them to interact with and manage content directly within the chatbot using advanced chat search and deep research tools.
In addition, HubSpot integration and custom connector support have been added as part of OpenAI’s Managed Connector Platform (MCP). This allows ChatGPT Pro users to access HubSpot data seamlessly within the interface, making it easier to extract insights, generate summaries, and streamline workflows without switching platforms. The custom connector support is particularly beneficial for enterprises using specialized or internal tools, as it enables the creation of tailored integrations to pull relevant data directly into ChatGPT.
These additions build on earlier integrations with Google Drive, Microsoft OneDrive, and other productivity platforms, solidifying ChatGPT’s position as a powerful hub for collaborative and data-driven work.
Meanwhile, OpenAI’s major focus remains the highly anticipated GPT-5 model. CEO Sam Altman recently confirmed that GPT-5 is “coming soon,” with reports suggesting a release in early to mid-August 2025. The model is in its final stages of evaluation and safety testing and is expected to feature significant upgrades, including improved factual accuracy, enhanced multimodal capabilities (covering images, audio, and text), and advanced user-level customization. There’s also speculation about mini and nano versions designed for API-based, specialized use cases.
With these updates, OpenAI continues to strengthen ChatGPT as a multi-functional AI assistant, preparing users for the next wave of AI-driven productivity with GPT-5.
