President Pranab Mukherjee comes on board on Twitter

Twitter has welcomed a new member to its family – The President of India, Shri Pranab Mukherjee. For all the latest updates about activities and news from Rashtrapati Bhavan, the President’s official residence, those on Twitter can follow him on @RashtrapatiBhvn.

So far the account has gained around 34,000 followers. People from all over the world have welcomed the President for joining Twitter via different tweets.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in his welcome tweet, said, “Welcoming @RashtrapatiBhvn toTwitter! Will be a wonderful medium for the people to connect with the President and his office.”

The @RashtrapatiBhvn twitter handle is run by the President’s Secretariat and tweets from President signed by the present President, Shri Pranab Mukherjee.
