Proofpoint appoints Bikramdeep Singh as India Country Manager

Proofpoint has announced the appointment of Bikramdeep Singh as its new India Country Manager. In this newly created role, Bikramdeep will spearhead Proofpoint's strategy in India, oversee business operations, focus on acquiring new customers, and support the company’s growth plan in the region.

With extensive experience in the cybersecurity and IT sectors, Bikramdeep has successfully led teams driving business growth in India. His appointment reflects Proofpoint’s dedication to strengthening its presence in India, a key growth market, and helping organizations address human-centric cyber threats. Proofpoint offers a range of solutions in email security, data loss prevention (DLP), insider threat management (ITM), and human risk management.

As the cybersecurity landscape evolves, human error remains the leading concern for Chief Information Security Officers (CISOs). A recent Proofpoint report revealed that 74% of CISOs view human error as their biggest vulnerability, a sharp rise from 60% in 2023 and 56% in 2022. Additionally, 80% of CISOs believe that human risk and employee negligence will be major cybersecurity challenges in the next two years.
