After becoming a mobile device pioneer in India, Samsung is now aiming to capture home automation space. In its recent launch, the Korean major has introduced its Smart Learning solution. The company has already entered this solution-based service in the US and Korea a few months back.
Tarun Malik, Director, Media Solutions Center - South West Asia, Samsung Electronics, said that Internet of Things (IoT) is the next big thing. Globally, the company has already announced a couple of acquisitions on the Smart Home's side. Announcements on the Smart Home side will be made early next year. He also added that a little bit of Samsung is in everyone's house, be it in the form of refrigerator, TV or air conditioner.

The company is looking forward to create market opportunity for the software solutions backed by Samsung devices. In the near future, a lot more is expected from Samsung.
To further strengthen its Smart Home business and push the ecosystem, Samsung has last month acquired SmartThings and the U.S. air conditioner distributor Quietside LLC. SmartThings' platform allows people to control everyday appliances like lights, refrigerators and doors through a single smartphone application.
"Through its Smart Learning solution, Samsung is targeting 60-70 million students in India. It is talking to all the leading schools in the country along with the Indian Government," Malik informed. Samsung is also trying to reach out to consumers through retail shops.
The Samsung Smart Learning solution features the entire CBSE curriculum, to which the company will be adding the ICSE curriculum, as well as content for joint entrance and medical preparation and higher education, going forward.
