Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd has changed the game with introduction of their innovative Samsung Galaxy Camera. They have put the latest mobile operating system Android Jelly Bean in the Galaxy camera. This Android powered camera allows the user to share pictures in the real time with their friends and family with the help of 3G & Wi-Fi connectivity.
However, Samsung is not a pioneer in coming out with OS powered camera. The trend was actually started by Nikon. “Samsung has a tough row to hoe against the likes of Canon and Nikon in the camera brand equity landscape,” said Liz Cutting, senior imaging analyst at research firm NPD Group. “Yet as a brand known more in the connected electronic device arena, Samsung has a unique opportunity to transfer strength from adjacent categories into the dedicated camera world.”
The Galaxy camera has almost 65 editing features in built in it. The user therefore will just not be able to click the images but also cut, crop and add other editing features to bring out their artistic best. It also has several great features like Smart Content Manager that manages the pictures folders and suggests deleting the out of focus pictures, Automatic cloud back-up of the pictures and videos.
