DSC-RX100 features the world's first 1.0 type CMOS sensor (13.2 x 8.8mm) with a resolution of 20.2 effective megapixels and F1.8 Carl Zeiss Vario-Sonnar T 3.6x optical zoom lens. It's the key to beautiful, detail-packed images and Full HD movie clips with very low noise. Sony RX100's ability is to determine that it is properly focused when shooting the same target multiple times, its autofocus speed is very fast for its class. The Sony RX100's full-autofocus shutter lag (with the subject at a fixed distance) was only 0.153 second in Single-area AF mode. This increased slightly to 0.266 second in Multi-area AF mode. That's much faster than the average CSC, and competitive with many SLRs. The RX100's user interface makes very clear that Sony has concentrated on making a camera that enthusiasts will be happy with. The RX100 doesn't go overboard with manual controls but the now commonplace lens-encircling control dial is key to its usability. It also has a customizable function menu - allowing you to specify which settings you want quick access to, and in which order.
RX100 comes with optimized BIONZ image processor which maximises shooting response with a high-speed autofocus that captures subjects in as little as 0.13 seconds. Even in low-light condition, with up to ISO6400 sensitivity, you can be assured of exceptionally clean, natural images.
RX100 has 3(7.6 cms) Xtra Fine LCD Display. LCD Display features an extremely high 1229k dot resolution making it easy to see subtle details and tones. The large display delivers high contrast bright still images and movies along with an intuitive navigation system.
