Sony India has unveiled the next generation of Hybrid Ultrabook PC- VAIO Duo 11, which also turns into a touchscreen tablet. With its Surf Slider design, the Duo 11 switches smoothly between Tablet to PC modes wherever you are and whatever you’re doing.
One can slide out the keyboard and maximise the productivity with a fully-featured PC powered by latest-generation Intel Core processor.
VAIO Duo 11 puts touch and handwriting with Windows 8 computing experience. Write and interact with media and applications on the responsive, touch capable, super-bright Full HD OptiContrast Panel. It gives the satisfying, expressive feel of handwriting directly on the touchscreen, with the touch of your finger. Smart text recognition even lets one quickly convert handwritten notes to text for easy archiving and searches.
The Quick Boot helps the system run in seconds. While taking a break, VAIO powers down into a deep energy-saving Sleep mode, keeping ones documents safe. With RapidWake + Eco, everything’s ready for instant wake-up and Optional Sheet-type battery extends battery life.
The Duo 11 is ready for business with a full complement of ports and interfaces including Bluetooth Smart Ready, USB 3.0, USB Sleep Charge to charge ones USB charging devices like mobiles or music players on the go; even when the PC power is off. One don’t need extra dongles or adapters to hook up a projector or secondary screen: everything’s on board. One can experience three new apps by Sony that are available for free download. Optional accessories include a screen protection cover and carrying case that protects VAIO Duo 11 while travelling.
The hybrid Ultrabook PC will be available in India across Sony Centers, VAIO flagship stores and other major electronic and IT stores by end of December 2012 at a price tag of Rs. 89,990.
