TalentSprint has launched its Skill Development and Employability Centre which will be based out of IIIT Bangalore campus. B.V. Naidu, formerly Director of Software Technology Parks of India (STPI), will lead the company’s growth as Chairman of TalentSprint, Karnataka. The company has also signed an Expression of Interest with the Government of Karnataka to build a Global Talent Academy in the state.
Santanu Paul, MD & CEO, TalentSprint, said, “We are excited that B.V. Naidu will spearhead TalentSprint in Karnataka. Karnataka is known for its excellent economic growth and visionary leadership in the IT sector, and he has been a big part of it. Our centre within the IIIT campus will create 1000 certified professionals within a year. It will serve as a hub for outsourced corporate learning and development, and an anchor for a college partner network.”
B.V. Naidu, Chairman TalentSprint Karnataka, said, “I am delighted to be a part of the TalentSprint leadership team. Developing quality talent to sustain growth of the state’s industry is absolutely essential. We propose to set up a Global Talent Academy (GTA) in close partnership with the state of Karnataka to train entry level professionals. GTA will conceive, design and deliver multiple programs to cater to requirement of skilled workforce for the IT/ITeS and Banking industry in Karnataka.”
Shri Vidyashankar, Principal Secretary, Commerce and Industries and IT, BT & S&T said, "We welcome TalentSprint to Karnataka. The government will extend all the necessary support to make Global Talent Academy a great success. Such an initiative is the need of the hour to achieve Karnataka ICT targets of 20 Lac employment."
