Tech Mahindra to create 300 Jobs over next 3 years

Tech Mahindra has announced that it will be establishing its new Canadian Aerospace head office in Greater Montréal. This was made possible in part due to the support provided by Montreal International. The multinational company offering innovative and customer-centric Engineering and Information Technology services and solutions anticipates the creation of approximately 300 jobs over the next three years, mainly in the aerospace industry.

The announcement was made at the 2014 Farnborough Air Show, which was attended by Mr Jacques Daoust, Minister of the Economy, Innovation and Exports, Hon. Denis Lebel Canadian Minister of Infrastructure, Communities and Intergovernmental Affairs and Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Québec; Mr Lakshmanan Chidambaram, Head – North America, Tech Mahindra; Daniel Desnoyers, Associate Vice-President Aerospace and Defense for Canada; and Ms Dominique Anglade, President & CEO, Montréal International.

“Tech Mahindra has been present in Montreal since 2005 and since then it has been part of the exponential growth journey of the region. The Greater Montréal center will provide expertise to both design and manufacturing engineering support to the Canadian customer base. We are grateful to the Montreal International and other stakeholders whose dynamism and assurance has helped make the growth journey interesting,” said Lakshmanan Chidambaram, Head – North America, Tech Mahindra.

Montréal International, whose mandate is to attract foreign direct investment to the Greater Montréal area, supported and advised the company in its project to establish itself in the region.
