The third edition of Global Service Jam (GSJ) is set to take place from March 1-3, 2013, in Bangalore, Pune, and Gurgaon. Global IT consultancy ThoughtWorks will host the event in its offices across the three locations. ThoughtWorks is also hosting the Kampala chapter (Jam-pala) in Uganda. GSJ is a non-profit volunteer activity organized by an informal network of service design aficionados, who all share a common passion for growing the field of service design and customer experience. In the spirit of experimentation and innovation, participants work together to develop, design and prototype innovative new services inspired by a shared theme using Design Thinking Methodology within 48 hours. At the end of the weekend, their collection of brand new services will be shared with the public.
Global Service Jam encourages people to come up with exciting new service offerings, with many Jammers choosing to work on issues that affect their community. There is a registration fee for the Bangalore event, but the Pune and Gurgaon events are free of cost. GSJ is open to everyone.
