WhatsApp has rolled out a useful new feature called Message Drafts, designed to streamline the process of managing incomplete messages. This feature will help users quickly find and finish any messages they’ve started but forgotten to send, eliminating the hassle of searching through chat history for half-written content.
Whenever a user begins typing a message and doesn't finish it, WhatsApp will now automatically tag the message with a “Draft” label. These draft messages are then placed at the top of the chat list, making them easy to access the next time the user opens the app. This is especially helpful in situations where users are interrupted or distracted before sending their messages, ensuring they don’t forget or lose track of important conversations.
The Message Drafts feature aims to save time by allowing users to pick up where they left off without having to scroll through their chat history. This reduces the risk of losing important notes or messages and helps ensure that conversations can continue smoothly, even if users are pulled away mid-chat. With this update, WhatsApp users can now stay on top of their messages and never miss an important thought or reminder.
This feature is available globally for both iOS and Android users, with the option to access drafts appearing once the app is updated to the latest version.
In addition to Message Drafts, WhatsApp is working on several other updates to enhance user privacy. One notable feature in development will allow users to communicate via usernames rather than phone numbers, offering a more secure and private way to interact without sharing personal contact details.
The messaging platform is also improving its contact management capabilities on WhatsApp Web. Soon, users will be able to add and organize contacts directly from their computer, which will make it easier to separate work and personal contacts.
These updates reflect WhatsApp’s ongoing commitment to making the app more convenient and secure for users worldwide, combining ease of use with enhanced privacy features.
