
Lenovo is reinforcing its position as a global AI powerhouse by deepening its investment in India’s AI-driven manufacturing, R&D, and enterprise solutions. At Lenovo Tech World India 2025, the company unveiled its latest AI-powered innovations aimed at driving enterprise adoption, enhancing digital infrastructure, and supporting India's AI-first economy.
The company announced that between January and December 2024, it manufactured and exported 12 million unitsfrom India. With its production set to double and a projected 40% growth in the coming year, Lenovo is poised to exceed its manufacturing targets while strengthening India’s role in AI-driven enterprise deployment and cloud computing.
India’s Growing Role in Lenovo’s AI Strategy
● Scaling local manufacturing and AI infrastructure to meet global demand.
● Doubling Made-in-India device production, supporting domestic and international markets.
● AI server manufacturing to begin this fiscal year, reinforcing cloud and enterprise AI capabilities.
● Launched India’s first AI-ready PC under the PLI 2.0 policy, boosting electronics manufacturing.
● AI-powered logistics enabling four-hour delivery across eight Indian markets.
With a 14,000+ employee base, over 30% of Lenovo India’s technical workforce is female, demonstrating its commitment to inclusive AI development.

Shailendra Katyal, Managing Director, Lenovo India, highlighted the company’s leadership in AI, stating,
